Some of us might be familiar with Carol Dweck’s work on growth versus fixed mindsets. This talk explores questions such as: What are the implications of these two contrasting mindsets for our spiritual lives, relationships, academic studies, and work? How does our relationship with God reflect a fixed or growth mindset? What are practical strategies for parents and educators to cultivate a growth mindset in children?
 
Speaker Profile: Y Joel Wong, Ph.D.
Y Joel Wong is a Professor in the Counseling and Counseling Psychology programs, and an interim chair in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology of Indiana University Bloomington in USA. He is also a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Divisions 17, 45 and 51) and the Asian American Psychological Association, as well as Associate Editor of the Journal of Psychology of Men and Masculinity.
