Who is God?
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1, NIV)
When a Christian refers to ‘God’, he is speaking of the God in the context of the Bible, the Creator who made the universe and everything in it, including time, space and human kind. He cannot be created and He exists forever.
God may not be provable through mathematical formulae or properties of physics, but the evidence of God is all around us. Though He is invisible, human beings cannot deny His existence by what can be seen around us. For example, by looking at a watch, we know that the watchmaker exists even though we have not seen him. Likewise, by observing the complexity, beauty and orderliness in creation, we can know of the existence of an intelligent Creator even though we have not seen Him.
