I am new!

Who is the Holy Spirit?

"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor to be with you forever — the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." (John 14:16-17, NIV)

The Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost in Old English) is the third Person of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). He is sent to continue the work of God in the lives of men after Jesus Christ ascended into heaven. He hears, speaks, convinces, testifies, shows, leads, guides, teaches, prompts speech, commands, forbids, desires, helps, and intercedes for us humans before God.
