Q: What is the difference between the Traditional Service and Contemporary Service? Which one should I attend?

Any one according to your preference! There are various Celebration Services and Fellowships for each one to worship God in a way most suited to him/her, united together with other Christian brothers and sisters.

The Traditional Service uses hymns with beautifully rich organ music accompaniment to draw people into the presence of God. Generally, the mood is more contemplative. The Contemporary Service on the other hand uses upbeat choruses and full band accompaniment to usher worshippers into a time of delightful praise and adoration. The mood is celebratory and lively.

Q: Is the Service at Dover (ACJC) same as the one at the main church building located at 400 Commonwealth?

Yes and no! Both Services are contemporary in nature, using choruses and upbeat songs to lead the people into a time of worship. The sermon is almost always the same, delivered by the same preacher at 8am, 10am and 11am Services.

The Order of Worship would usually be different at the Praise@AC Service compared to the 11am Contemporary Service. This is primarily to allow the preacher sufficient time to be at the 11am Service after he/she finishes the sermon at ACJC. Don’t worry, you will get the hang of it soon enough if you join us regularly. The Order of Worship for the Praise@AC Service is printed in the bulletin so you can follow along with us.
