Join us for a creative morning with Art Therapist Emily Tan, sharing and connecting as we thread our stories and uplift one another in a supportive circle. (Open to all ladies cancer patients and survivors.) Speaker: Ms Emily Tan U-Tong (Master Medical Social Worker & Principal Art Therapist at the Department of Psychosocial Oncology (DPO) National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS))
Working closely with patients and caregivers, Emily integrates creative approaches to support the psychosocial wellbeing of patients and their families throughout their cancer journey, including survivorship and end-of-life.
She also oversees the Patient Support Programme at NCCS and together with her team at DPO, they run an average of 4 to 6 support groups every month to foster resilience and empowerment among cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers.
In addition to clinical work, Emily would incorporate creative expression into staff support, training, and supervision to encourage reflexive practice and personal growth.
