Our Sub-Ministries

Faith’s Worship and Music (W&M) Ministry seeks to fulfil the Great Commandment in Matthew 22:37-38, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” At Faith, we believe that worship is a way of life, and an expression of our love to our Heavenly Father for who He is and what He has done.

Contemporary Worship Team

Roles : Vocals, Keyboards, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums

The Contemporary Worship Team comprises of musicians and vocalists who are passionate about worship and being a child of God! We serve weekly each Sunday at our contemporary worship services (9am, 10:30am and 11:15am services), striving to usher the congregation into authentic encounters with God through heartfelt music and genuine connection. Worship transcends music, and it is our prayer that through corporate worship, we can catch the heart of God and grow as disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Come visit us this Sunday – we’d love to get to know you better

Traditional Worship Team

Roles: Vocals, Piano, Organ

Our traditional worship team lead our 8am traditional service congregation in worship through hymns, liturgical music and time-honoured songs. Our team’s role is to create a reverent and uplifting atmosphere, helping the congregation connect with the sacred through music that has been cherished for generations.

Choir

Roles: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass, Piano

“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.” (Psalm 96:1-2).

This is the hope of the choral ministry in Faith Methodist Church as the choirs aim to share God’s Word and truth through songs. There are three choirs in the church and we practice on Tuesday evening, Thursday evening or Sunday afternoon. The choirs serve once a month and for special events.

String Ensemble

Roles: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Piano

Through the beauty of music, the Faith String Ensemble strives to create a transformative worship experience that deepens our relationship with God, fosters a spirit of unity within the ministry and congregation, and shares the message of Christ’s love and grace. We rehearse on 2nd and 4th Saturdays (unless otherwise stated) and serve at our 8am and 9am services on the 2nd Sunday of 5-Sunday months.

Revelation Shofar

The Revelation Shofar team was formed in 2015 for the Faith Jubilee Celebration and the team participates at the call to worship segment of major worship services, like the church anniversary, the Wesleyan Covenantal Service and at special outreach events.

The Shofar sound is a reminder to all Christians of:

  1. Their covenantal obligation to the Lord (Exodus 19:16),
  2. The anticipated return of Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16) and
  3. When judgement is pronounced upon the people of the world
    (Revelations 8-9).

Genesis Dance

Roles: Dancer, Choreographer

Worship Dance is an act of worship, an outward expression of what is in the heart – a spirit of gratitude, thanksgiving and joy to the Lord. It is also an act of proclaiming God’s ultimate victory in Christ Jesus.

Our Genesis Dance ministry serve two  purposes:

  • To worship Him and celebrate the ultimate victory we have in Christ and invite God’s people to join us in anticipating the Lord’s coming.
  • To proclaim Christ’s victory over death when we intercede for the lost. We claim victory over darkness as the Spirit moves to convict
    hearts of sin.

Creative Arts

Roles: Actor, Director, Scriptwriter, Costume, Logistics, Props, Stage Hand, etc.

The creative arts team is dedicated to bringing the Word of God to life through powerful and engaging performances. We believe that drama is a unique and impactful way to communicate the gospel, inspire faith, and touch hearts. Our team works diligently to create performances that are not only entertaining but also spiritually enriching.

Whether it’s through skits, plays, or dramatic readings, our goal is to illustrate biblical truths, encourage personal reflection, and foster a deeper understanding of God’s message. We invite all those with a passion for storytelling, acting, or behind-the-scenes work to join us in this creative expression of faith. Together, we aim to glorify God and reach our community with His love through the arts.

Sound

Roles: Front of House Engineer, Monitors Engineer, Roadie

The Sound Ministry is dedicated to creating an immersive worship experience through the art of sound mixing. Our mission is to enhance the proclamation of God’s Word by providing clear and balanced sound throughout the service, supporting the congregation in their worship. We serve at all worship services, special events, and other gatherings, ensuring that every moment is enriched by high-quality audio. Excellence and teamwork are central to our work, and we foster a collaborative spirit within the ministry through regular training and sharing. If you have a passion for sound and a heart for worship, we invite you to join this essential ministry!

Projection

The projection team across all our services manage the visuals that everyone sees during the service—whether it’s song lyrics, sermon slides, videos, or announcements. We work behind the scenes to make sure everything is displayed clearly and at the right moment, helping the congregation stay engaged and follow along. Our role is crucial in creating a smooth and immersive worship experience, making sure that what’s on the screen supports the message and flow of the service.

Service ICs

Our Service ICs ensure worship services run smoothly by coordinating all elements within the service, from beginning to the end. We work closely with the worship team, production and media crews, service hosts and pastors, handling and communicating details and any last-minute changes. Our goal is to create a seamless, organized corporate worship experience, allowing the congregation to focus fully on worship.

Our Service ICs serve at the 9, 10:30am and 11:15am services only.

Lights

Our lights crew is responsible for designing, setting up and controlling our stage lights during services and corporate events. We ensure that the lighting enhances the worship experience, creating the right atmosphere for different parts of the service. Our lights engineers work closely with the worship team and other production crew to synchronize lighting with music, sermons, and multimedia elements, making sure everything is visually cohesive and spiritually engaging for the congregation.

Our Lights crew serves at the 9 & 11:15am services only.

Video Switcher

Our video switchers play a crucial role in seamlessly managing and toggling between various visual elements like PTZ camera feeds, slides, lyrics, and pre-recorded videos. This ensures that our Toddler and Nursing Rooms receive the same engaging and cohesive experience as the main Worship Hall, enhancing participation and immersion for the parents who are in those rooms. The switcher’s ability to coordinate these elements in real-time helps maintain the flow of worship and message delivery.

Our Video Switchers serve at the 9am service only and occasionally during combined services.

Floral

Roles: Arranger, Purchaser

Our floral team take pride in creating beautiful displays that enhance the worship environment of our multiple worship venues. Each week, we carefully select and arrange flowers to reflect the season, the theme of the service, or special occasions. Our goal is to add a touch of natural beauty that complements the sacred space, uplifting the spirits of the congregation and making the sanctuary feel warm and welcoming. Through our work, we aim to glorify God by using the beauty of creation to inspire and bring a sense of peace and reverence to everyone who enters the church.
