We’re having Family Services at our 9am, 10.30am, and 11.15am services next Sunday,
2 Mar 2025! These services allow families to worship together. As we welcome our younger worshippers, here are some tips for parents and the congregation to help create a meaningful and worshipful experience for all.
For Parents/Caregivers
Bringing children to worship can feel challenging, but it has lasting spiritual value!
Prepare them by explaining the flow of service beforehand and encouraging their participation.
Consider bringing a notebook and Bible so they can jot down songs they like, draw what they learn, or note a key takeaway from the sermon. Our children’s ministry also provides sermon worksheets and colouring materials at the entrance. Rather than using screens for distraction, engage them by whispering explanations and praising them for their attentiveness.
Sitting with friends or Life Group members can also provide support and encouragement!
For the Congregation
Children learn by observing those around them, so let’s model heartfelt worship, prayer, and engagement with God’s Word.
If you’re seated near children, extend patience and encouragement, understanding that they are still learning. A smile or a kind word can go a long way in making them feel welcomed in God’s house!
Let’s embrace the joy of worshiping as one family, reflecting the heart of our Heavenly Father who delights in seeing all generations gathered in His presence.
