FAITH METHODIST CHURCH
TRANSFORMING LIVES, CHANGING THE WORLD
Faith’s Vision is “Transforming Lives, Changing The World”. We are a community whose lives are being transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and who go on to transform the lives of the people in our spheres of influence, in the community, and in the regions beyond. A transformed life is one that is fully growing in F.A.I.T.H. A changed world is one where everyone is living a transformed life and experiencing a real presence of the kingdom of God in their lives.
OUR HISTORY
Faith Methodist Church is part of the Trinity Annual Conference (TRAC, 21 English-speaking churches) under The Methodist Church in Singapore (MCS). MCS is headed by the Bishop of The Methodist Church in Singapore, the current serving Bishop being Rev Philip Lim. MCS also heads the Chinese Annual Conference (CAC, 17 churches) and Emmanuel Tamil Annual Conference (ETAC, 9 churches).
THE BEGINNING - 1966
Faith Methodist Church was founded in 1966 as a Methodist Chapel for Queenstown residents. Back then, worship services were conducted in open air and later, a temporary shed.
THE CHURCH BUILDING - 1967
Faith’s founding Pastor, the late Rev T.C. Nga, and his team completed the church building, which we share with Queenstown Chinese Methodist Church. The church was named to honour God’s faithfulness and in memory of Faith Goh, the daughter of Dr and Mrs Goh Kok Kee, who generously contributed to the building fund.
redevelopment - 2002
Through God’s faithfulness, Faith’s membership flourished, and our growing community soon outgrew the existing church facilities. The church building was redeveloped from 2002 to 2003 to meet the needs of our congregation.
fmc today - present
Today, our church building houses a 1,000-seat Sanctuary, an 800-seat Worship Hall, ministry spaces, a kindergarten, library, columbarium, and two parking floors, all designed with accessibility in mind. From just 38 attendees in 1966, Faith has grown into a vibrant congregation of almost 3,000.
outreach & missions
Community outreach and missions are at the heart of Faith, leading to the creation of Lakeside Family Service, Agape Methodist Church, and FaithActs, alongside active international missions. By God’s grace, Faith has been transforming lives and changing the world for over five decades.

UPCOMING EVENTS

life in community
Life Groups are the basic building blocks and heartbeat of church life at Faith. Faith Methodist Church is a church of Life Groups. A Life Group is more than a Bible study or fellowship group; it is the primary place of care and ministry, where group members experience community and love, build one another up, and are equipped to serve others. It is a community where we are accountable, transparent and open with each other.
Missions 2025: Your Witness
Missions 2025: Your Witness is an initiative by Faith Methodist Church, building upon the legacy of Missions 2006 (M06), which saw over 1,200 members engaging in missions almost two decades ago. Rooted in Acts 1:8, the M25 movement calls each worshipper to embrace their role as witnesses of God’s goodness, sharing their personal faith journeys with their families, friends, communities and nations.
